"Lissa" continues to be a valuable addition to our editorial board. Her respected position within adolescent medicine has assisted us in the review of manuscripts, in ideas concerning features for AJDC involving adolescent issues, and in encouraging authors to submit their work to us for consideration. Currently, Lissa serves as associate chair of Academic Affairs in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester (NY) Medical Center and continues to head a vigorous Division of Adolescent Medicine as well. She serves as chair of the department's Promotion and Tenure Committee.
In 1990, Lissa received the Job Lewis Smith Award of the Section of Community Pediatrics, American Academy of Pediatrics, for her work in adolescent health. She also received a Distinguished Service Award from the American Medical Association at the National Congress on Youth in 1990.
